Triton announces new Hall inductees

Dawn Mader and Michele Matyasovsky, two of Triton High School's best female athletes, are among the next class of inductees into the school's athletic Hall of Fame.

Dawn Mader and Michele Matyasovsky, two of Triton High School's best female athletes, are among the next class of inductees into the school's athletic Hall of Fame.

Mader and Matyasovsky will be inducted with seven other individuals and two teams at 1 p.m. Feb. 20 at Paris Catering Palace in Blackwood.

Tickets are available by contacting the Triton athletic office during school hours at 856-939-4500, Ext. 2403.

Mader, a 1984 graduate, was a three-sport star who excelled at softball. Matyasovsky, a 1999 grad, was Gatorade Player of the Year in New Jersey as a senior basketball player and went on to play at Duke University.

The other inductees are:

Bob Mannino, a former Triton coach and athletic director, who led the girls' soccer team to 22 consecutive postseason tournament appearances.

Kurt Anderson, a 1995 graduate who was South Jersey's Tennis Player of the Year as a senior.

Jim Puderbach, a 1,000-point basketball scorer in the class of 1976.

Helen Gilch Taylor, a standout three-sport athlete in the class of 1971.

Glenn Smith, a baseball star in the class of 1980.

Ed Spaeth, a baseball and basketball standout in the class of 1971.

Naomi Eldridge Walker, a distinguished service award winner for her outstanding contributions to Triton athletes.

The championship golf teams of 1992 and 1994.
