Cherokee has weathered several injuries during an 11-0 football season that closes with Saturday's 1 p.m. South Jersey Group 4 final against visiting Oakcrest.

The Chiefs have good news, incomplete news, and bad news on the injury front.

Running back Jonathan Bonilla, who missed Thursday's 19-17 win over Seneca with a hip injury, is expected back, according to coach P.J. Mehigan. Bonilla has rushed for 482 yards (5.82 per-carry average) and seven touchdowns. Though Bonilla is also a valuable defensive back, it's doubtful he will play defense Saturday, Mehigan says.

Linebacker Casey Farah will return after missing one game with food poisoning, the coach said.

Standout fullback-safety Mike Zeuli, who missed the Thanksgiving game with a knee sprain, will see the doctor Monday for an update, according to Mehigan.

Sophomore running back Zaire Williams, who has rushed for 512 yards (6.48 per-carry average) and scored seven touchdowns, is out for the game after suffering a concussion against Seneca.
