S. Jersey Boys: Delran beats Moorestown to stay in first place

Down by 1-0 at halftime, the Bears, ranked No. 4 in South Jersey by The Inquirer, rallied with goals by Thiago Dedues and Jared Ruff. Delran Goalie Michael Reyes gave up only an early goal by the Quakers' Jared Wisniewski.

Olympic. Cherry Hill West needed two overtimes to get past town rival Cherry Hill East, 2-1, at East. Graham Haines tied the game for West with 10 minutes left in regulation off a crossing pass, and Matt Stacker netted the game-winner five minutes into the second extra period on a 25-yard free kick.

Top-ranked Shawnee played its sixth tie of the season, 1-1, at Lenape as Donny DiVirgilio traded second-half goals with the Indians' Brandon Friedman.

Washington Township avenged a 1-0 loss suffered against Timber Creek in the first round of the South Jersey Coaches Tournament by beating the host Chargers, 3-2. Kevin McCollick's first goal of the season came with 2:30 remaining for the deciding goal.

Tri-County. Highland broke open a close game with three second-half goals and beat visiting Cumberland, 5-1. Brian Cullen scored three goals and assisted on one of Emmanuel Ofori's two goals.

Pitman clinched at least a tie for the Classic Division title with a 6-0 success against visiting Wildwood. Josh Pacana had two goals and an assist, Caiden Lopez notched a goal and an assist, and Luke Dickson assisted twice.

Cape-Atlantic. Nick Gazzara's 33d goal of the season snapped a 1-1 deadlock via a direct kick with 11 minutes left, making Sacred Heart a 2-1 winner over visiting Cape May Tech.

Bridgeton spotted host Holy Spirit a 1-0 halftime lead before storming back to win, 4-1, with two goals by Martin Calixto, and one each from Michael Angel and Christian Saavedra.

Nonleague. Pat Kane's four-goal performance dominated Gloucester Catholic's 5-3 victory over visiting Sterling.

Haddonfield squeezed past visiting Kingsway, 1-0, on Billy Balton's first-half goal and Vincent DelDuca's two saves in goal.
