S.J. Girls' Cross-Country Runners to Watch

Megan Venables, senior, Highland. Venables was second in the Meet of Champions last season in 18 minutes, 1 second. She also finished second in the state Group 3 race in 18:15 and the South Jersey Group 3 race in 17:43, finishing behind Kingsway's Chelsea Ley each time. She placed 16th in the Foot Locker Northeast Regional, and took fifth in the Meet of Champions in 2008.

Megan Lacey, junior, Cherokee. She finished seventh at the Meet of Champions in 18:48, was second at the Burlington County Open in 19:03, and took fifth in the state Group 4 race in 19:14.

Holly Bischof, junior, Bishop Eustace. Bischof won the South Jersey Non-Public title in 18:43. She finished 13th in the Meet of Champions in 19:01.

Felicia O'Donnell, senior, Delsea. She took second in the South Jersey Group 2 race in 19:18, and placed eighth in the state Group 2 meet.

Natalia Ocasio, sophomore, Lenape. Ocasio won the South Jersey Group 4 race in 18:24. She took third in the Burlington County Open.

Meghan Malloy, sophomore, Cinnaminson. She was third in the Central Jersey Group 2 race in 19:22, and took fifth in the state Group 2 race and fifth in the Burlington County Open.

Rachel Quinn, senior, Haddon Heights. She placed fifth in the South Jersey Group 2 race in 19:52.

Dina Iacone, junior, Washington Township. Iacone finished fifth in the South Jersey Group 4 race in 19:16.

Emily Casey, senior, Holy Spirit. Casey was second in the South Jersey Non-Public race in 19:04. She won the Atlantic County meet in 2008 and 2009.
