Haddon Township coach steps down
Frank Trautz, who guided Haddon Township's football program to consecutive .500 seasons for the first time in a decade, has resigned as head coach. The school is expected to name his successor later this month.
Trautz resigned after five seasons to follow his son Frank's football career in college. His son was the team's quarterback last season and will play at Moravian.
The Hawks were 5-5 in each of the last two seasons. That was the first time since 1997 through 1999 that the school has posted consecutive seasons of .500 or better.
In another coaching move, Rob Dieffenbach has been named the head football coach at Wildwood. A former assistant, Dieffenbach replaced Rich Hans, who recently resigned. Hans said that he would remain the school's baseball coach but that he couldn't do both after taking a new job recently.
