Tyler Knarr, a graduating senior from La Salle High School, didn't participate in the high school lacrosse postseason the last two years because of an injured right knee.

He had surgery on the anterior cruciate ligament as a junior and tweaked the knee this year.

But Knarr, who watched his team win this year's first-ever PIAA state championship, will return for one more high school game when he participates in today's Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic at Towson University's Johnny Unitas Stadium.

The girls' game begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by the boys' contest at 8. ESPNU will show the boys' game live.

There are 11 players from Southeastern Pennsylvania and South Jersey who will participate.

Among the boys, Knarr will be joined by two La Salle teammates, goalie Niko Amato and defender Tucker Durkin. The others are Malvern Prep defender Billy Conners, Haverford School goalie Dan Wigrizer, and Shawnee midfielder Chris LaPierre, the South Jersey football and lacrosse player of the year.

Strath Haven midfielder Emily Garrity, a North Carolina recruit who scored 404 career goals, heads the local contingent in the girls' game.

She will be joined by attacker Sam Ellis of Radnor, the first PIAA state girls' champion; defender Samantha Arbitman of Episcopal Academy; midfielder Alyssa Ogle of Moorestown, The Inquirer's South Jersey female athlete of the year; and midfielder Michelle Tumolo, a Syracuse recruit who scored 270 career goals for Clearview.

Knarr, who has won a scholarship to Georgetown, is a top defender and face-off man.

"I was very excited to be picked for this game and really looking forward to it," he said.

Said Tumolo: "It's bittersweet because I'm ending my high school career, but I will be ending it on such a cool experience."
