S. Jersey Girls: CHE gives coach her 100th win

Cherry Hill East girls' basketball coach Kim Keyack celebrated her 100th career victory yesterday, as the Cougars rode 22 points by Vianca Tejada to a 50-44 nonleague victory at Bridgewater-Raritan.

Tejada, who made four three-point shots, scored 12 in a 22-10 third-quarter run that turned the tide.

Keyack's career record stands at 100-83.

In other nonleague action, host Williamstown shot 60 percent from the field, led by Christen Glutz (19 points) and Devan Solari (18), and the Braves finished strong to knock off Cherokee, 62-55. The Chiefs got a game-high 24 points from Laura Sweeney.

Jamila Garrett scored all of her nine points in a 19-10 game-ending spree that enabled host Egg Harbor Township to put away Clearview, 41-30. Mel Mahan's 12 points topped the scoring for the Pioneers.

Keira Maier and Melissa Chu combined for 27 points for Shawnee, which converted 10 of 12 at the line in the fourth quarter to upend host Collingswood, 44-38. Aja Crites had a dozen points for the Panthers, who lost for just the third time in 14 games.

Nancy White's 13 points paced a balanced attack, which included 11 points by Liz Ker and 10 by Amanda Landi, and Ocean City took command in the second quarter en route to a 64-19 romp at Highland.

West Deptford's Jenna Lindsay nailed a dozen field goals to finish with a game-high 28 points and Bryanna Williams scored 14, as the host Eagles soared to a 16-point halftime lead in dispatching Deptford, 64-54.

Sally O'Donnell drained three three-point baskets in scoring 21, but Wildwood Catholic saw a strong start go to waste as the Crusaders managed just 22 points over the final three quarters in a 54-42 loss at West Catholic in Philadelphia.

Tri-County. Bethany Humenik scored all six of Woodstown's points in overtime, helping the Wolverines (9-7) pull out a 43-39 victory at Pennsville and clinch a berth in the NJSIAA tournament. Humenik finished with 17 points, of which 15 came on free throws. The Eagles fell despite Dawn Curry's 23-point, 14-rebound performance.

Erin McAdams dealt five assists to go with 16 points, Kaylee Conner scored 13 and Marisa Cooper pulled down eight rebounds to highlight host Gloucester's 45-38 triumph over rival Gloucester Catholic. Kate Sweeney led the Rams with 14 points.
