Saturday's New Jersey roundup: Cherokee edges Williamstown

Wayne Davenport's 69-yard touchdown reception from Jack Walters lifted Cherokee to a 24-17 victory over Williamstown on Saturday. The Chiefs took a commanding 21-point lead at the half, and was able to fend off the Braves' rally. Walters threw another touchdown pass to Jackson McIntyre of 16-yards. Ethan McCarren kicked a 26-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to give the Chiefs a 24-7 lead.

Tyreese Snipe totaled 141 yards on 30 carries and two touchdowns in Schalick's 14-3 triumph over Gloucester Catholic. Javon Spann tallied 80 yards receiving for the Cougars.

Nick Kargman went 17-for-28 for 243 yards and four touchdowns to lead Woodrow Wilson over Cumberland, 68-27. Stanley King caught balls for 134 yatrds and three touchdown of 11, 43, and 80 yards. King added a 40-yard interception return in the third quarter. Travon King had an 80-yard touchdown reception from Jairo Ramos. Jahdir White and Jaheim Wimbley-Cole added scores on the ground. The Tigers scored 43 points at halftime.
