TOP 10

PRESEASON GIRLS' LACROSSE

With last year's record in parentheses.

 1. Moorestown (22-1). Villanova recruit Nikki Shapiro and Notre Dame-bound Stephanie Toy will pace the Quakers offense. Senior goalie Bridget Bianco remains one of the best in the country.

2. Shawnee (20-2). The defending Group 3 champion returns a strong team, including 73-goal scorer Nicole Troost, Rutgers-bound midfielder Kristin Kocher, and goalie Alex Zagura.

3. Cherokee (20-3). Cherokee returns six starters, including senior attackman Melissa Arthur, who scored 81 goals as a junior. The Chiefs look to repeat as South Jersey Group 4 champions.

4. Clearview (14-6). Senior midfielder Josie Quaile will lead one of the most balanced teams in the area.

5. Washington Township (18-4). Ten starters and 17 letter-winners return. Junior twins Nicole and Megan Tiernan, two nationally ranked track stars, anchor one of the fastest teams in South Jersey.

6. Lenape (12-8). Even though Lenape returns several potent offensive weapons, defense should be the Indians' greatest strength. Defenders Rebecca Meyers, Elizabeth Duffey, and Mary Tandourjian and goalie Caroline Huelster will lead Lenape's defense.

7. Seneca (13-5). Ohio State recruit Taylor Donohue and George Mason recruit Laura Lesky, both senior midfielders, return to lead a group that includes 10 returning starters.

8. Eastern (11-11). Eastern is one of the more athletic teams in South Jersey and features one of the area's strongest senior classes. Look for the Vikings to improve upon last year's .500 record.

9. Haddonfield (16-4). Haddonfield's 12 returning letter-winners make this the most experienced team the Bulldogs have had.

10. Bishop Eustace (15-6). In the program's fourth year, Eustace returns nine starters.
