Day Three of the Reebok Breakout Challenge is complete and the showcase will wrap up on Satuday at Philadelphia University. Roman Catholic’s Shep Garner III is having one of the finest showings.
Wizards 77, Powerade 69 – Junior power forward Vittorio Brown’s 15 points and five rebounds led the Wizards. The Ohio native shot six for eight from the field.
Classics 69, Zigs 55 – Donovan Jack scored 14 points and pulled down nine rebounds to lead the Classics. The 6’9 junior power forward from Reading Central Catholic shot a perfect seven for seven from the field. Jonathan Milligan added three three-pointers and a team-high 19 points for the Classics.
Slashes 77, Rams 62 – Roman Catholic’s Shep Garner III hit two threes and dropped 12 points for the Slashes. The sophomore guard continues to have a great showing at the showcase. Junior power forward Mike Kobani led the Slashes with 12 rebounds and 13 points.
JN14 69, Friars 61 – William Tennant freshman power forward Horace Spencer III scored four points and grabbed one rebound for the Friars. The 6’8 big man played a team low eight minutes. Vaux’s Rysheed Jordan scored nine points and grabbed three rebounds for JN14, although he had previously been playing for the Wildcats.
JWalls 73, Footlocker 64 – Mike Aaman scored nine points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the JWalls. The 6’8 senior power forward grabbed seven rebounds on the offensive glass. The Raritan product is ticketed for Wagner.
Zigs 82, JN14 65 – Both Eric Jacobsen (Ariz.) and Trey Bolden (Miss.) grabbed ten rebounds for the Zigs. Akosa Maduegbunam led the way with 15 points. The senior from Massachusetts is verbally committed to Penn State.
Powerade 100, Classics 50 – Sheldon Hagigal dropped 18 points for Powerade, thanks to shooting a perfect four for four from downtown. The 6’2 combo guard from West Bury, New York also grabbed four rebounds and dished out three assists.
Slashes 93, Wizards 87 – Roman Catholic guard Shep Garner III scored 28 points for the Slashes and shot six for eight from three point range.
Footlocker 88, Rams 57 – Kamari Murphy grabbed eight rebounds and scored 11 points for Footlocker. Justin Seymour scored a team high 15 points.
