Fri. Pa. football roundup: Hill School earns football title
Dante Astheimer carried the load, literally, for Hill School in its 19-14 win over visiting Hun School, clinching at least a tie for the Mid-Atlantic Prep League football title Friday.
Astheimer, a tailback, gained 192 yards on 36 carries and scored a pair of touchdowns for the Blues (7-1 overall, 4-0 league).
The worst the Blues can do is tie for the title, even if they fall in the final game of the season to Lawrenceville. It was Hun School's (3-1) first loss of the season. All other league teams have at least two losses.
Hill School's defense blanked Hun School over the final two quarters, led by tackle Jay Knighton (six solo tackles, two assists, two sacks and four quarterback hits) and middle linebacker Kyle Regansburg (four tackles, seven assists).
