Archbishop Wood senior guard Collin Gillespie committed Saturday to play basketball at Villanova.

"I felt really comfortable when I was there," said Gillespie, a 6-foot-2, 180-pounder who visited the school Thursday. "Their coaches, including Coach [Jay] Wright, have been real honest with me right from the start."

Gillespie, of Huntingdon Valley, also had scholarship offers from Delaware, Drexel, Hofstra, Maine, and Rider.

"I always grew up wanting to play Division I basketball," he said. "And playing basketball at Villanova is the highest level. It doesn't get any better."

Gillespie is averaging 20.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game for the Vikings.
