Germantown Academy's Jim Fenerty earns 600th win

Longtime Germantown Academy boys' basketball coach Jim Fenerty earned his 600th high school win Tuesday in a 73-46 victory at Inter-Ac rival Springside Chestnut Hill.

Longtime Germantown Academy boys' basketball coach Jim Fenerty earned his 600th high school win Tuesday in a 73-46 victory at Inter-Ac rival Springside Chestnut Hill.

Fenerty has been on the Patriots sideline for 28 seasons and has also been the athletic director for 23 years.

Evan-Eric Longino continued his big scoring season with 27 points and Kyle McCloskey added 16 points for the winners.

Central League. Idris Ransom went 9 for 10 from the free-throw line in Harriton's 78-69 win against visiting Springfield (Delco). Ransom finished with 17 points, matching Will Esposto's point production for the Rams.

Suburban One American. Clifton Moore had 18 points, 15 rebounds, and five blocked shots as host Hatboro-Horsham defeated Upper Dublin, 62-30.

Girls' Basketball

Natalie Kucowski had 18 points, 17 rebounds, and 10 blocks as host St. Basil handled Catholic Acadmies League rival Merion Mercy, 61-30.

Casey Remolde added 18 points and nine rebounds for St. Basil, which is 12-0 and 6-0 in Catholic Academies play.

Boys' Swimming

The Haverford boys' relay team had a record-breaking afternoon in its 106-72 win against host Penn Charter, setting school marks in the medley relay, the 200-meter free relay, and the 400-meter free relay.
