Opening football night features Neshaminy victory over Roman Catholic

After both teams failed to score in the first quarter, Jones found Will Dogba on a 22-yard touchdown pass and Zach Treadway from 47 yards out in the second quarter.

He finished with 197 passing yards on 16 attempts in that span.

In the final quarter, Jones ran for a 7-yard score to put the Redskins up for good.

In other nonleague action:

Malik Young carried four times for 101 yards and two touchdowns as host Ridley handled Truman, 41-6. Teammate Brock Anderson carried three times for 92 yards and a touchdown.

Alex Coll caught a 48-yard touchdown pass from Evan Raiburn with less than a minute remaining to give the host Friars a 30-23 win over Upper Darby.

Jacob Buttermore ran for touchdown, returned an interception for a touchdown and converted a 26-yard field goal to power visiting Garnet Valley to a 24-16 victory over West Chester Rustin.

Junior quarterback Anthony Paoletti ran for three touchdowns and connected with Cameron Mathis through the air to lead host Marple Newtown to a 42-13 victory over Archbishop Carroll. Running back Marlon Weathers ran for over 100 yards and scored two touchdowns for the Tigers.

Malik Johnson completed six passes for 115 yards and carried 12 times for 88 yards to lead visiting Boys' Latin to a 24-12 win over Harriton.

Calil Wortham ran for two touchdowns, and visiting West Catholic defeated Pottsgrove, 18-13.

Ja'Den McKenzie rushed 17 times for 134 yards and a touchdown as visiting Springfield (D) defeated Glen Mills, 17-6.

Boyertown running back Jerry Kapp ran for the decisive 30-yard touchdown to give the Bears a 34-27 home victory over Upper Perkiomen.

Jake Reichwein ran for two touchdowns as host Central Bucks West defeated Hatboro-Horsham, 17-6.

Penn Wood topped Bensalem by scoring two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to rally from a 9-6 deficit, and Central Bucks East collected a 42-7 win over Cheltenham.
