Mike Shawaryn, Maryland junior right-hander. The stock for this Gloucester Catholic graduate soared after he struck out 16 in a Big Ten tournament game against Indiana. He was 6-4 with a 3.18 ERA this season with 97 strikeouts and 26 walks in 99 innings. His Baseball America 500 rank is 77.

Adam Laskey, Haddon Heights High School senior left-hander. He has signed with Duke. He was 5-0 with a 1.68 ERA this season for the Garnets with 56 strikeouts and nine walks in 37 1/3 innings. He also batted .507 with nine doubles. His Baseball America 500 rank is 81.

Zac Gallen, North Carolina junior right-hander. The Bishop Eustace graduate was 5-6 with a 2.68 ERA this season for the Tar Heels. He had 95 strikeouts and 21 walks in 90 2/3 innings, and his Baseball America 500 rank is 97.

Tyler Mondile, Gloucester Catholic High School senior right-hander. He has signed with Florida State. He was 6-1 this season with an 0.87 ERA with 65 strikeouts and nine walks in 47 innings. His Baseball America 500 rank is 127.

Devin Smeltzer, San Jacinto College sophomore left-hander. The Bishop Eustace graduate was 9-3 with a 1.18 ERA this season with 128 strikeouts and 23 walks in 91 2/3 innings. He struck out 20 in an 8-1 win in the national semifinals June 3 against Chattahoochee Valley. His Baseball America Top 500 rank is 244.

Kenny Mendoza, Clearview High School senior left-hander. He was 9-1 this season with a 1.13 ERA and 65 strikeouts in 49 innings. He has signed with Campbell. His Baseball America 500 rank is 367.

Sean Mooney, Ocean City High School senior right-hander. He has signed with St. John's. He's scheduled to take the mound in the Group 3 state final against Northern Highlands Saturday at 2 p.m. at Toms River North. He's 9-0 this season with an 0.00 ERA. He has allowed two unearned runs in 51 innings with 96 strikeouts and 10 walks. He is not ranked in the Baseball America 500.
