Spring-Ford senior takes tennis title

Spring-Ford tennis player Patrick Pascual defeated Luke Pain of Perkiomen Valley in three sets to win the Pioneer Athletic Conference boys' singles championship at Perkiomen Valley on Tuesday.

Spring-Ford tennis player Patrick Pascual defeated Luke Pain of Perkiomen Valley in three sets to win the Pioneer Athletic Conference boys' singles championship at Perkiomen Valley on Tuesday.

Pascual, a senior, won, 6-1, 4-6, 6-4.

Nick Simeone of Methacton defeated Perkiomen Valley's Shaan Kawalramani, 6-3, 6-2, in the third-place match.

Spring-Ford's Nick Griswold defeated Mike Ellis of Phoenixville, 6-1, 6-2, in the fifth-place match.

Baseball

Gil Dreyfuss was a triple shy of hitting for the cycle when he went 4 for 4 with a home run, two doubles, a single, and four RBIs in Friends' Central's 12-2 victory at Friends Schools League foe Friends Select.

Alec Andrews struck out 12 batters in five innings of relief to earn the win for the visitors.

Elsewhere in the Friends Schools League, David Ortiz picked up the win for host George School and batted in three runs as the Cougars defeated Germantown Friends, 9-6.

Bicentennial League. Danny Padilla struck out 10 batters in seven innings while allowing just two hits in host Bristol's 4-1 victory over Valley Forge Millitary Academy.

Lacrosse

Dox Aitkin scored four goals and Keyveat Postell scored three to help Haverford School to a 13-6 victory at Springside Chestnut Hill in an Inter-Ac League matchup.

Central League. Alex Bonnett and Tim Parsons each had four goals and host Penncrest routed Upper Darby, 16-3.

Nonleague. Nick Yi scored four goals and host Shipley defeated Perkiomen School, 17-1.
