S.J. boys and girls: Three-point shooting paces Cherry Hill East past Kingsway

Long-distance shooting from Joey DiAntonio and Olin McClendon came in handy for host Cherry Hill East in the first round of the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 4 tournament on Tuesday.

DiAntonio made three three-pointers and scored 14 points and McClendon hit two three-pointers and scored 12 points as the sixth-seeded Cougars held off No. 11 Kingsway, 45-42.

Elsewhere in South Group 4, Justin Williams had 21 points, six rebounds, and five assists in No. 3 Eastern's 72-37 home victory over No. 14 Jackson Memorial.

Zach Rowe scored 14 points and No. 2 host Cherokee defeated No. 15 Howell, 68-42.

South Jersey Group 2. Shakwel Vincent scored 27 points in No. 7 Medford Tech's 60-46 home win over No. 10 Audubon.

Demetrius Hall made four three-pointers and scored 24 points as host No. 4 Woodstown defeated No. 13 Pennsauken Tech, 58-47.

Girls' Basketball

Zoe Hahn scored 21 points and Renee Hersperger scored 18 in No. 7 Kingsway's 66-39 home victory over No. 10 Clearview in the first round of the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 4 tournament.

Maddie Sims scored 20 points as No. 1 Lenape disposed of visiting No. 16 Vineland, 75-30.

Isabella Therien scored 21 points and No. 3 Cherokee defeated No. 14 Jackson Memorial, 57-21, at home.

South Jersey Group 2. Jordan Wallace had 17 points and 13 rebounds in No. 2 Sterling's 48-28 home win over No. 15 Woodstown.

Marisa DiLeo made four three-pointers and scored 17 points as No. 1 Cinnaminson defeated No. 16 Buena, 60-16, at home.
