S.J. boys: Edwards lifts Cherry Hill West at the buzzer

Cherry Hill West senior guard Cameron Edwards collected all nine of his points from beyond the arc Saturday at the Cherry Hill East Invitational.

The final field goal came in the form of a buzzer-beating game-winner to lift his team over tournament host and cross-town rival Cherry Hill East, 47-44.

Danny Buckwalter led the Lions with 20 points and Sameer Parus added another seven.

In other Cherry Hill East Invitational action:

Gary Brown hit the final four points for Camden Catholic in a 61-59 win over Woodbury.

After a scoreless afternoon, Brown banked a layup and two foul shots soon after for his only points for the Irish.

Nonleague. Terrence Pough converted two free throws with 11 seconds remaining to lift St. Joseph over host Audubon, 53-52. On the ensuing Audubon possession, Dillon Tassi missed a three-point attempt and Pough came down with the rebound to secure a Wildcats victory.

Earon Trowery drained three three-pointers and 15 points while Warren Bethea added another 20 in Camden County Tech's 67-63 win over visiting GCIT.

Dante Owens-Hill led all scoring with 18 points and carried host Lenape past Wildwood Catholic, 69-60. D.J. Smith racked up five three-pointers and 17 points in a losing effort for the Crusaders.

The Bryant-to-Bryant connection of Bryant Geddes and Rakim Bryant combined for 63 points as Lindenwold beat visiting Burlington Township, 82-72.

Geddes had a double-double with a game-high 34 points as well as 14 rebounds, 2 assists, and 6 steals.

Bryant accounted for 29 points - three three-pointers - six rebounds, five assists, and a steal.

Ian Taylor proved to be a bright spot for the defeated Falcons with five three-pointers and 27 total points.

Cumberland picked up a win on the road against Overbrook, 60-49. Casey Ordille led the way with 27 points.

Tajadin Harris dropped 24 points for Palmyra in a 53-48 triumph over visiting Seneca.

Max Smyth added a double-double with 13 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists, and a block.

D'Angelo Robertson sank three three-pointers - 11 points overall - and grabbed two rebounds, four assists, and three steals while Kameron Kennedy contributed five points, eight rebounds, and six assists.

Highland defeated host Pennsauken, 64-56, behind big performances by Gabe Villegas and Christian Scafidi.

Villegas tallied a game-high 25 points, with six field goals coming from beyond the arc.

Scafidi earned a double-double with 16 points, 19 rebounds, 9 assists, a block, and a steal.
