St. Joseph tops Buena, 75-60

St. Joseph boasted two 20-point scorers during a 75-60 rout of host Buena in a Cape-Atlantic League matchup Wednesday.

Devin Martin scored 29 points, 25 of which came in the second half. Jordan Herrin recorded a double-double with 22 points and 13 rebounds. The Wildcats have won six consecutive games.

Elsewhere in boys' basketball action:

Nonleague. Devon Brewster sunk 19 points and Devin Matchett tallied 17 as the Solebury School clobbered visiting King's Christian by a score of 81-45. Jared Hargis led the unsuccessful Crusaders with 17 points.

Tri-County Conference. Acosta Kittles carried Glassboro past Hammonton, 63-43. She dropped a game-high 28 points with five buckets coming from beyond the arc while also working the glass to collect 14 rebounds. David Still also bagged a double-double for the Bulldogs with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Girl's Basketball

Wildwood Catholic spread the ball around to 12 point scorers in a 70-9 thrashing of visiting Pleasantville in a Cape-Atlantic League contest. Caitlin McMullan led the field with 17 points.

In other Cape-Atlantic League action:

Atlantic City held a tw-point lead at halftime before host Absegami charged back to win 38-35. Kiyanna Thomas racked up 15 points for the Braves.

Nonleague. Charlotte Stern drained 23 points and Alyssa Runyan added 14 as Moorestown Friends dispatched visiting Maple Shade, 47-32.
