St. Joe's Prep tabs DeLaney as lacrosse coach

The Prep tapped Sean DeLaney, a former North Carolina All-American and Major League Lacrosse midfielder, as its third head coach in three years.

Delaney reached two MLL semifinals with the Denver Outlaws.

The defending Catholic champions fell to Radnor, 11-10, in the state final.

Phebe Guenther scored a first-half goal and Friends' Central held on for a 1-0 nonleague victory over visiting Episcopal Academy.

Boys' Soccer

Zach Brock did all the scoring for Academy of New Church in its 3-2 nonleague victory at Plumstead Christian.
