S.J. boys and girls: Buckwalter's offense carries Cherry Hill West lacrosse

Danny Buckwalter spearheaded Cherry Hill West's offense Thursday afternoon in a 13-2 home win over Williamstown in the Olympic Conference boys' lacrosse opener for both teams.

Danny Buckwalter spearheaded Cherry Hill West's offense Thursday afternoon in a 13-2 home win over Williamstown in the Olympic Conference boys' lacrosse opener for both teams.

Buckwalter, a sophomore midfielder who also plays power forward on the basketball team, paired three goals with three assists.

Senior attack Cory Bond, freshman attack John Robertson, and sophomore attack Ernie Spiotto each added two goals and two assists.

Mark Petronis and Chris Cortez each had a goal and an assist for Williamstown.

Nonleague. Freshman goaltender T.J. Logan's 10 saves preserved Gloucester Catholic's 9-7 triumph at Northern Burlington. Sophomore attack Colin Gorrado paced the Rams with four goals. Dominic Adelizze, Derek Alcavage, Ryan Daley, Neil McGee, and Zach Raudenbush each scored. Tyler Bellanova, Jeff Riccianni, and Scott Senachi each registered two goals apiece for Northern Burlington.

Tyler Barron and Jake Jambor provided all the scoring for Rancocas in its 16-2 loss at Notre Dame.

Girls' Lacrosse

Sophomore attack Katie Pileggi scored four goals to lead Haddonfield to a 19-2 victory over visiting Gloucester Catholic in a nonleague game.

Junior Katarina Ostbye and freshman Meghan Smart both recorded hat tricks for the Bulldawgs.

Lizzie Hammon netted two goals and Claudia Brong, Suzie Clark, Anne Gossel, Gracie Grimes, Lacey Minor, Norah O'Neill, and Olivia VanDervort also scored.

Julia Kohour scored both goals for Gloucester Catholic.
