Pa. Girls: Power scores 21 to lift Marple Newtown to OT title win

The senior added nine rebounds, four steals, and was named the tournament MVP.

The Eagles' Ciara Forde put a ball in the basket as time expired in regulation and finished with a game-high 22 points and six blocks.

In a consolation game, Pattie Fortesque scored 17 points to lead Norristown over Phoenixville, 51-36. Lauren Fortesque and Brianna Schools added 14 points apiece.

Boyertown Holiday Tournament. For the sixth consecutive year, Boyertown claimed the tournament crown, defeating visiting Downingtown East, 44-32, in the championship. Abby Kapp had nine points. Paige Warfel deposited 23 points for the Cougars.

Germantown Academy Holiday Classic. Lauren Dao hit a game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer to carry Pope John Paul II over Shipley, 61-58. She finished with 12 points and when 7 for 8 from the foul line. Jenna Widdicombe netted 19 points.

The Hoopfest. Felicia Aiyeotan and A.J. Timbers each scored 11 points to lead Neumann-Goretti in a 66-25 victory over Elizabeth Forward at California University. Christina Aborowa added five points and eight rebounds.

Daytona Beach Classic. Shalina Miller netted 20 points to go along with 12 rebounds and five blocks in Bonner-Prendergast's 51-49 win over Brewbaker (Al.) in Daytona Beach. Amber Ballinger finished with 15 points, six rebounds, and three assists.

KSA Holiday Classic. Maggie Locke scored 12 points in Spring-Ford's 62-12 rout of North Side (Tenn.) at ESPN Wide World of Sports. Juliana Alessandroni, Abby Beyer, Maddie Haney, and Julia Roshelli each added six points.

Garnet Valley Christmas Tournament. Jordan Ireland recorded 21 points, nine steals, and four assists to lead Garnet Valley in a 61-34 win over West Chester Henderson in the championship. Macy Goldbach had 18 points, seven rebounds, and was named the tournament MVP.

Over the River Tournament. Bella DeVito registered 18 points, as host New Hope-Solebury defeated Bristol, 54-26. Sara Wilson had five points and four assists.

Diamond State Classic. Allison Taub netted 23 points with 10 rebounds, as Council Rock South rolled over Delaware Military Academy, 69-32, at St. Elizabeth. Christina Deo had nine points and 15 rebounds.

The Rock Holiday Classic. Hannah Nihill deposited 22 points for Cardinal O'Hara in a 56-45 win over Seminole (Fla.) at Windermere Prep. Mary Sheehan had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Stuart County Day Tournament. Imani Ross deposited 24 points for Germantown Friends in a 44-35 win over Princeton at Stuart County Day. Nikki Williams added seven points and 10 rebounds.

Boardwalk Classic. Mollie Reynolds and Ashley Murphy each netted nine points, as Haverford High edged Robbinsville at Wildwoods Convention Center, 32-31, in the Dave Lewis Memorial bracket.

Stephanie Reed scored 15 points to go along with seven rebounds, as Mastery North bested Delsea, 40-37, in the Big Al Memorial bracket. Shaquida Matthews added 12 points with four rebounds and a pair of assists.
