Pa. Boys: Prep's Morris earns win No. 950

The St. Joseph's Prep basketball coach earned the win with a 81-35 romp over visiting Cristo Rey. Jack Henkles led the Hawks with 30 points and seven rebounds. Chris Montie added eight rebounds and a pair of blocks. Chris Clover, a senior guard headed to St. Joseph's University, had 10 points and three assists.

Morris has coached the Prep since 2001. His 950 wins are combined from his time at Roman Catholic, Penn Charter, La Salle University, and St. Joe's Prep.

In other nonleague action:

Tom Funk dished out six assists and scored 11 points as Archbishop Wood eased past host Great Valley, 79-47. Luke Connaghan scored 21 points and grabbed five rebounds.

Kyle Hulmes hit a free throw to seal North Penn's 64-62 win over visiting Lansdale Catholic. Jared Malone scored nine of his 13 points in the second half.

Dominic Stifel came off the bench to score 24 points and West Chester East won at Sun Valley, 44-39.

John Rodriguez scored seven of his 17 points in the fourth quarter to propel host Coatesville past West Chester Rustin, 58-46.

Chick-fil-A Classic. Jair Bolden's 19 points and five assists were not enough as Westtown fell to Our Savior New American (N.Y.), 58-48, in Columbia, S.C.

Westside Winter Classic. Stanley Coleman scored 10 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter, lifting host West Philadelphia over Engineering and Sciences, 46-38.

Jermal Savage hit four three-pointers in the second quarter and Robeson knocked off Parkway West, 59-35.

Sayre used Antwan James' 14 fourth-quarter points to ease past Robeson, 66-43. Brandon White added nine second-half points.

Quaker Invitational. Yohn Hall Jr.'s 16 points led Abington Friends past New Garden Friends (N.C.), 62-41, in Baltimore.

De'Andre Hunter scored 24 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, and recorded five blocks to lead Friends' Central past Baltimore Friends, 61-53. Jonathan Lawton scored 25 points and dished out six assists.

Make-A-Wish Showcase. Boys' Latin opened the second half on a 10-0 run to cruise past Penn Charter, 65-55, at Germantown Academy. Jahmir Green led the way with 13 points.

Tim Guers scored 18 points and Sam Lindgren added 15 points to lift Germantown Academy over Shipley, 55-50.
