Here's a closer look at seven South Jersey football games on Friday night, with predictions.

All games are scheduled to kick off at 7 o'clock.

Haddonfield (9-0) at Buena (10-0), South Jersey Group 2 semifinal. The second-seeded Chiefs will be the fourth undefeated team that third-seeded Haddonfield has met in its last five playoff games. The Bulldogs beat the other three en route to the sectional title in 2013.

Buena has been one of the surprise teams of the season. The Chiefs have been led by junior running backs Quadir Albright and Sam Crouch, who have combined for 29 touchdowns.

Pick: Haddonfield, 21-14.

Williamstown (7-2) at Rancocas Valley (7-2), South Jersey Group 5 semifinal. The third-seeded Braves' sturdy defense will be challenged by star running back Shaun Bradley of the second-seeded hosts.

Williamstown has allowed a total of three points in its last four games. The Braves are trying to make the sectional final for the second time in three years.

Rancocas Valley is looking to advance to the sectional final for the first time since the 1987 team won the South Jersey Group 3 crown.

Pick: Williamstown, 14-10.

Kingsway (6-3) at Timber Creek (9-0), South Jersey Group 4 semifinal. This will mark the third consecutive season these teams have met in the playoffs, with the top-seeded Chargers winning in 2012 and 2013.

Kingsway has won five in a row with an active defense, but the Dragons have struggled to contain the Chargers' pass offense in the recent past.

Timber Creek quarterback Khalil Trotman has 1,998 passing yards and 19 touchdowns. It was in this exact game last season - vs. Kingsway in the sectional semifinals - that Chargers quarterback Dan Williams set the state single-game record with 532 passing yards.

Pick: Timber Creek, 23-13.

Hammonton (7-3) at Shawnee (9-0), South Jersey Group 4 semifinal. The second-seeded hosts have won 15 in a row. The narrowest margin of victory in that run was 10-7 over the third-seeded Blue Devils in last season's first round.

Shawnee senior Jake Parola has 29 touchdowns for a team averaging 39.8 points.

Hammonton has a top all-around player in senior running back/linebacker Tyler Armor.

Pick: Shawnee, 28-14.

Bridgeton (8-2) at Delsea (6-4), South Jersey Group 3 semifinal. Both the third-seeded Bulldogs and second-seeded Delsea won their opening-round games by a 42-0 score.

Delsea is angling for its third straight South Jersey Group 3 title and 12th sectional crown since the creation of the playoff system in 1974. The Crusaders have a top running back in senior Isaiah Spencer.

Bridgeton has won seven in a row since a 27-26 loss to River Dell on a Hail Mary pass on Sept. 26. The Bulldogs will be led by senior all-purpose standouts Stefon Bowman and Cappadonna Miller.

Pick: Bridgeton, 22-21.

Collingswood (7-2) at West Deptford (8-1), South Jersey Group 2 semifinal. The visiting Panthers are coming off perhaps the biggest upset of the season, a 17-8 win at previously undefeated Camden in the first round.

Collingswood has lost 16 in a row to West Deptford since 1998, including a 34-7 setback in a regular-season game on Oct. 31.

Collingswood's sturdy defense features linemen Will Pope and Pat Miles and linebacker Dashon Burdett, among others.

West Deptford is coming off a 45-16 win over Glassboro in a game in which senior fullback Kevin DeCaesar ran for 246 yards and five touchdowns.

Pick: West Deptford, 28-13.

Holy Spirit (4-5) at Holy Cross (10-0), Non-Public 2 state semifinal. These programs have won a combined six state titles since 2007.

Senior wide receiver Brandon Anderson and junior tight end Matt Correnti each have seven touchdown catches for Holy Cross.

Holy Spirit has a top quarterback in senior Andrew Light.

Pick: Holy Cross, 24-14.

Last week: 6-1. Year to date: 78-19.
