Andrew Johnson said it to anyone and everyone on his Plumstead Christian soccer team who would listen. "Boys," he said. "We've never lost when we sing that song."

Andrew Johnson said it to anyone and everyone on his Plumstead Christian soccer team who would listen.

"Boys," he said. "We've never lost when we sing that song."

The song was "John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt," and the top-seeded Panthers gave a repeat performance on the sideline after defeating No. 3 New Hope-Solebury, 2-1, in the District 1 Class A championship game Thursday night at Wissahickon.

The program's first district title was fueled by Johnson, who scored the winner and played a stellar game on defense. The victory also snapped the Lions' dominance in the district playoffs. New Hope (15-4) was seeking its fourth straight championship.

The Panthers (17-2) will play the District 12 champion in the first round of the state tournament Tuesday. You know the song they'll be singing.
