In Suburban One National girls' soccer, Taub punched away a free kick by Jamie Gosselin with 30 seconds left to secure a 2-1 victory against the Ghosts.

Lindsay Hirsh and Jesse Magee scored for the Golden Hawks, who are ranked sixth in Southeastern Pennsylvania by The Inquirer.

Suburban One American. With 14 minutes remaining in the game, Lauren Fortescue fired the ball into the net to give Norristown a 2-1 win over visiting Upper Merion.

Boys' Soccer

Pennsbury's Keion Randolph knocked the ball into the net with his left foot after a big scrum in front of the goal, giving his team a 1-0 victory against visiting Bensalem in Suburban One National play.

Suburban One Continental. Evan Vare of No. 4 Central Bucks East scored the lone goal at Hatboro-Horsham, and Austin Prime registered his eighth shutout of the season in a 1-0 win.

Field Hockey

Down by two goals entering the second half, Gwynedd Mercy stormed back to even the score against visiting Mount St. Joseph and send the game to overtime.

Corinne Persichetti then scored the winning goal to give the Monarchs a 3-2 victory in Catholic Academies play.

Suburban One American. Sophie Hessler's goal was enough for Wissahickon to secure a 1-0 victory against visiting Plymouth Whitemarsh.

Boys' Golf

Philadelphia Academy Charter won the Public League championship with a score of 172 at Juniata. Central was second with 188.

Both schools advanced to Monday's District 12 championships.

Inter-Ac League. Haverford School won the Springside Chestnut Hill Golf Invitational with a score of 227 at Sunnybrook Golf Club.

Haverford's Otis Baker finished first by shooting a 1-under-par 36.

Girls' Tennis

With its 5-0 win against Mount St. Joseph, Gwynedd Mercy became the Catholic Academies champion and improved its league record to 13-0.

Girls' Basketball

Christopher Dock hired Al Grenfell as its girls' basketball coach. Grenfell previously served as an assistant and junior varsity coach with both the girls' and boys' programs at Dock.
