Placing the ball in the top left corner of the net from 20 yards, Sayer led the Panthers in beating local rival Pennsville, 1-0, Thursday at home in a Tri-County Conference matchup.

"The girls were just really hungry and wanted it," Pitman coach Kristin Chapman said. "They wanted it badly. It was a big game."

Pitman goalie Taylor Milward held off the Eagles with 13 saves.

Nonleague. Daniella Giancarli paired an assist with a game-winning goal off a shot from the 18-yard line to give Holy Cross, ranked fourth in South Jersey by The Inquirer, a 2-1 home win over Pennington.

Tri-County Royal. Paige Bergman recorded a hat trick, and Michaella Paradiso scored twice to propel visiting Triton over GCIT, 5-3.

MaryKate Ulmer scored two goals at home for No. 5-ranked Williamstown in a 4-0 win over Clearview.

Burlington Patriot. Alexis Ashman scored two goals to give visiting Pennsauken a 3-2 victory over Maple Shade.

Alexis Perry, Gabby Perry, and Kelly Robins scored a goal each in Pemberton's win, 3-2, at New Egypt.

Burlington Freedom. Lyndsay Micucci and Kasie Shively scored two goals each when host Riverside beat Medford Tech, 7-0.

Tri-County Diamond. Abigal Evans and Casey Urion scored a goal each in Woodstown's 2-1 home win over Cumberland.

Field Hockey

Haylee Courant scored the lone goal for Gloucester as the Lions defeated host Clayton, 1-0, in a Tri-County Classic matchup.

Tri-County Royal. Jane Donio-Enscoe scored five goals in Hammonton's 8-1 win at Highland.

Clearview took a 3-1 triumph at Williamstown with Chandler McFeeley, Rebecca Redington, and Noel Watt scoring a goal each.

Colonial. Serena Pearson scored a hat trick to lead Overbrook to a 4-1 win over visiting Lindenwold.

Kelly Rodgers and Morgan McConnell recorded a hat trick each, and Rachel Galante scored twice for Collingswood in an 8-1 victory at Gateway.

Claudia Bowman, Myranda Christy, and Katy Parkinson scored two goals each for Haddon Heights in a 7-1 win over visiting Sterling.

Eireann Canning and Ciara Girouard each scored twice in West Deptford's 9-0 victory at Paulsboro.

Volleyball

Sterling coach Matt Macpherson earned his 100th career victory when the host Silver Knights defeated Collingswood, 2-0, in an Olympic Conference matchup.
