Indian Jones Pa. Horse of Year

Indian Jones, the 6-year-old gelded son of 2004 Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner Smarty Jones, was named 2013 Pennsylvania horse of the year Wednesday.

He lost by a nose in the Grade 3 Greenwood Cup at Parx and was beaten by only 21/2 lengths in the Breeders' Cup Marathon at Santa Anita.

Jockey Kendrick Carmouche won his fifth riding title in six years, and Patricia Farro won the first training title. Jockey Hector Caballero was top apprentice jockey.
