S. Jersey Boys: Tues. S.J. boys: Cherokee wins with balanced attack

And that's exactly what they did.

Cherokee spread the wealth on offense in its 54-47 win over host Cherry Hill East in an Olympic Conference American Division boys' basketball game. Ben Handel led Cherokee with 11 points, and Kevin Wixted scored 10. Paul Belamy and Kyle Kahriger each contributed eight.

Colonial Conference. Casey Boyle's game-high 22 points were crucial in Haddon Township's 42-35 home triumph over Audubon. Boyle was the only Hawk in double digits. Audubon was led by Zack Thomas, who scored 14, and Brian Furlong, who added eight points and 11 rebounds.

Cape-Atlantic National. Justin Ruggia hit a three-pointer as time expired to lift Ocean City over visiting Hammonton, 51-49. Ruggia scored nine of his 12 points in the fourth quarter. The senior has drained 16 three-pointers in his last three games.

Burlington Freedom. Three scorers reached double digits for Burlington City in its 64-32 victory at Palmyra. Jelanie Glaze scored a team-high 18 points, Yamal Hilton added 11, and Derrick Wright tallied 10.

Palmyra's Davon Whitfield-Gaines scored 11 points.

Nonleague. Marhshe Terry contributed 12 points to Northern Burlington's 58-51 home win over Delran. Lawrence Garner added nine points for Northern Burlington. Quamir Davis led the Bears with 21 points, Colin Romero scored 15, and Tim Hunt added 11.

Jose Valentin shot 10 for 18 from the floor for 22 points to help Wildwood down host Camden County Tech, 63-40. Valentin also added nine rebounds. Jahnire Coleman earned a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds. Ray Ray Young scored 16 points, pulled down five rebounds, and recorded three steals for Camden County Tech.

Pennsauken Tech rallied from 20 points down in the third quarter to beat host LEAP Academy Charter, 59-57. Elbin Fraguso hit a three-pointer with 11 seconds left to give the Tornados a two-point edge. Stacy Thomas scored 13 points in the fourth quarter and led the Tornados with 27.

Jack Goan and Can Oztamur paced Cherry Hill West's offense as the visiting Lions topped Seneca, 54-49. Goan led all players with 13 points, and Oztamur added 12. Jake Ferrell scored a team-high nine points for Seneca.

Twelve of T.J. Booth's 26 points came in the third quarter of Williamstown's 58-47 defeat of host Egg Harbor Township. On-Nir Kendall backed Booth with 11 points. Keyshawn McMahon paced Egg Harbor with 21.
