Ben Casanova sent Penncrest home happy on Friday night. Moments after Garnet Valley completed a rally to tie the score, Casanova drove the baseline and hit a buzzer-beating layup to secure a 43-41 Central League boys' basketball win for the visiting Lions.

Casanova led all players with 12 points.

Garnet Valley's Steve Palis scored eight of his 10 points in the fourth quarter and scored to tie it at 41 with 14 seconds remaining in regulation.

CENTRAL LEAGUE

Lower Merion 75, Strath Haven 49: Corey Sherman had 20 points for the host Aces, who jumped out to a 22-11 lead in the first quarter.

Upper Darby 44, Haverford High 38: Beni Toure scored 12 points and Torey Green added 10 to pace the visiting Royals. Haverford's Tom Leibig led all players with 14 points.

Radnor 54, Harriton 46: Brice Sydnor came off the bench and had nine rebounds and four assists for the host Red Raiders.

SUBURBAN ONE CONTINENTAL

Souderton 49, Central Bucks South 47: Carter Knight scored all five of visiting Souderton's points in the second overtime.

North Penn 62, Central Bucks West 59: Cordell Lord scored all 15 of his points from beyond the arc for visiting North Penn.

Marple Newtown 60, Springfield (D) 55: Nick Giordano scored 11 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter as the visiting Tigers erased a 45-35 deficit.

CATHOLIC LEAGUE

St. Joseph's Prep 58, Cardinal O'Hara 40: Chris Clover racked up 20 points and went 7 for 8 from the foul line and grabbed nine rebounds for the host Hawks.

Roman Catholic 61, La Salle 47: Rashann London scored 14 of his 22 points after halftime, and the host Cahillites turned a two-point halftime lead into a nine-point cushion at the start of the fourth quarter.

Neumann-Goretti 88, West Catholic 45: Ja'Quan Newton scored all 22 of his points in the second and third quarters as the visiting Saints pulled away. Newton also had eight rebounds and six assists.

Archbishop Wood 61, Archbishop Ryan 40: Luke Connaghan had 15 points and 14 rebounds and Pat Smith had 23 points, five rebounds, and five assists to lead the Vikings on the road.

Father Judge 73, Bonner- Prendergast 44: Quincy Reed nailed three three-pointers in the first quarter en route to a 24-point game for Father Judge in Drexel Hill.

Archbishop Carroll 43, Conwell-Egan 22: Joe Mostardi scored all eight of his points in the first quarter as the Patriots jumped out to an early 16-4 lead in Radnor.

INTER-AC LEAGUE

Haverford School 65, Malvern Prep 39: Levan Alston Jr. had 13 points, seven rebounds, and five assists to lead the Fords on the road.

Springside Chestnut Hill 54, Penn Charter 52: Frank Jackson sank two free throws with five seconds remaining to win it for the visiting Blue Devils in East Falls.

NONLEAGUE

Martin Luther King 89, Palmer 51: Jabri McCall piled up 24 points, six assists, and four steals, and Greg Bennett added 11 points and 10 rebounds for the host Cougars.

Northeast 37, Central 32: Jamal Powell pinned Jumane Howard at 160 pounds to clinch the victory for the visiting Vikings in a rematch of last season's league championship.
