Market Share sets pace at Breeders Crown
Market Share, who won the 2012 Hambletonian, is trained by Linda Toscano and owned by Richard Gutnick of Blue Bell; TLP Stable of Kearny, N.J.; and Bill Augustine of Hammonton, N.J. He has won four of 11 races this year and earned $725,356. Lifetime, Market Share has banked more than $2.76 million.
"He's just a nice little horse," said winning driver Tim Tetrick, of Runnemede. "He shows up and gets the job done."
Bee A Magician ran her win streak to a perfect 15 for 15 for the year when she won the $500,000 Breeders Crown for 3-year-trotting fillies Saturday.
Spider Blue Chip was the best of the 3-year-old trotting colts in 1:53.3.
Trainer Jimmy Takter made history by collecting his 18th Breeders Crown victory.
