15 local teams still alive in state playoffs
Here we are, in early March, and 15 of the 79 basketball teams (19 percent) in the Public/Catholic leagues are still alive.
If you love watching games, you've gotta appreciate that.
One problem: Just as in the regular season, games often have simultaneous starting times and you'll be forced to make a decision. Luckily, some of Our Teams will be featured in doubleheaders.
Anyway, the first round in all four classifications of the state playoffs will be held this Friday (AAA and A) and Saturday (AAAA and AA) and travel won't be an issue, if you don't want it to be, because eight of the games will be held at Pub/Cath sites.
Here's the schedule. Have fun making plans.
