Wed. S.J. girls’ roundup: Haddonfield knocks off Middle Twp.

Senopoulos scored 11 of her 14 points in the second half, including all but one of the Bulldogs' nine points in the final period. Teammate Erin Brogan provided a strong inside presence, totaling 10 points, nine rebounds and five blocks.

Haddonfield will travel to third-seeded Point Pleasant Boro for a semifinal on Friday.

In another South Jersey Group 2 quarterfinal, top-seeded Sterling dominated the boards in dispatching No. 9 seed West Deptford, 49-30.

Kylie O'Donnell (12 points) and Tanjae Lewis (11) supplied double-figure scoring, Monica Burch dished out eight assists, and yeoman work inside by Anyssa Sanchez (16 rebounds, 2 blocks) and Rachel Hodge (13 rebounds, 2 blocks) enabled the Silver Knights to overwhelm West Deptford on the glass, 45-18.

Sterling will host No. 4 seed Willingboro in Friday's semifinals.

South Jersey Group 4. Sahara Lopez poured in 21 points, including a baseline runner with 7 seconds left that allowed No. 7 seed Atlantic City to shock second-seeded Egg Harbor Township, 44-42.

The Eagles fell despite soaring out to a 17-4 lead behind the scoring of Rachael Scheiter (15 points) and Gina DiDomenico (11).

Lopez had three three-point baskets for Atlantic City, which will get to host Friday's semifinal against 11th-seeded Washington Township.

The Minutemaids advanced by crafting an upset of their own - a 42-40 thriller at No. 3 seed Vineland.

Kelly Giedemann closed out the scoring, and her 18-point effort, by sinking a pair of free throws with one minute remaining. Kylie Giedemann aided her sister by scoring 8 of her 13 points over the final two quarters.

Vineland's impressive season came to an end despite 10 points apiece by Janae Williams and Amanda Jamieson.

Top-seeded Cherry Hill East left no room for a slip up, racing out to a 22-point first-half lead in dismantling No. 9 seed Williamstown, 78-53.

Michelle Onu posted 16 points and 10 rebounds, Marie Boisvert scored 16 and Lillian Chukwueze contributed 12 points and 11 rebounds. The Cougars' balanced attack also featured 13 points by Darby Festa and 11 points by Brittany Muniz.

Jade Bonder (14 points) and Courtney Caulfield (11) led Williamstown.

Next up for Cherry Hill East is a semifinal on Friday against Cherokee.

In a clash between Olympic Conference American Division rivals, fourth-seeded Cherokee avenged a pair of regular season losses by ousting No. 5 seed Lenape, 37-30.

Sara Farrell and Tiara Mosley scored 10 points apiece for the Chiefs, who gained the upper hand with a 19-11 surge over the second and third quarters. Advia Campbell's 10 points led the Indians.

Central Jersey Group 4. Lauren Moses picked up 14 of her 18 points in the second half to help second-seeded Rancocas Valley pull away from No. 7 seed West Windsor-Plainsboro North, 67-48.

Natalya Lee knocked down three shots from beyond the arc in scoring 14 and Brianna Logan added 11 points for the Red Devils, who will host No. 3 seed Howell in a sectional semifinal on Friday.

South Jersey Non-Public B. Tay-Tay Loatman scored 14 points, Mandy Buirch and Brittany Harden added 12 apiece, and fifth-seeded Sacred Heart took command from the outset in blasting 12th-seeded Moorestown Friends, 71-29.

Holy Cross shook off first-half nerves - when the sixth-seeded Lancers shot 0-for-10 from the foul line - to pull out a 52-47 opening-round win over 11th-seeded Our Lady of Mercy.

Amanda Offenback (18 points, 11 rebounds) and Ashli Jeune (15 points) ignited a third-quarter outburst that put Holy Cross in control. Bridget Dandrea's 20 points led the Villagers.

Jade Howard powered her way to 21 points and 10 rebounds and Gabriella Dudo came up with five steals to highlight No. 8 seed St. Joseph's 43-32 triumph over ninth-seeded Mater Dei.
