Ginsburg, Liles among newest Glouco Hall of Fame class

Former Woodbury football coach Larry Ginsburg and former Kingsway track star Denise Liles head the latest class set to enter the Gloucester County Sports Hall of Fame.

Former Woodbury football coach Larry Ginsburg and former Kingsway track star Denise Liles head the latest class set to enter the Gloucester County Sports Hall of Fame.

Ginsburg, Liles, and 13 other sports standouts will be inducted March 29 at Auletto's Caterers in Almonesson. Contact Gus Ostrum at 609-502-0424 for ticket information.

Also to be inducted in the Class of 2011 will be Mike Taylor (Deptford), Greg Burlingame (Kingsway), Jenn Stephenson-Brown (Delsea), Kelly Ann DeLong (Washington Twp.), Harold Hill (Rowan University), Amy Thompson-Weyrich (Woodbury), Leroy Thompson (Williamstown), Catherine Fennal-Tanksley (Washington Twp.), Charles Lepre (Pitman), Warren Lopez (Paulsboro), Jim Hall (Clayton), Arnita Green (Franklin Twp.), and Ken Noddin (Gateway).

A graduate of Southern High in Philadelphia, Ginsburg is one of South Jersey's all-time winningest football coaches, with a career record of 139-76-7 at Woodbury and Eastern Regional high schools. At Dover High in Delaware, he compiled a 73-25-2 record from 1967 to 1976.

A 1986 Kingsway graduate, Liles was considered one of New Jersey's greatest track sprinters of the 1980s. She captured four Meet of Champions titles in the 100 and 200 meters. At Norfolk State University, Denise was a two time NCAA Division II All-American.
