C.H. East’s Santo to play in all-star game

Cherry Hill East's Chris Santo, South Jersey's active leader in career points, will be among the players in the New Jersey Scholastic Coaches Association North-South all-star game in boys' basketball at noon March 20 at the Poland Springs Arena in Toms River.

Glassboro's Russ Winsett will coach the South team. He will be assisted by Eastern's Joe Murphy and Central's Mike Clemente.

Besides Santo, who has 2,478 points entering Cherry Hill East's South Jersey Group 4 quarterfinal Wednesday against Shawnee, the South team will include two other South Jersey seniors who have scored more than 2,000 career points: Isaiah Morton of St. Augustine Prep and Luke Dickson of Pitman.

Also scheduled to participate for the South squad are Kingsway's Rondell Gilmore-Lane, Haddonfield's Wyatt Polk, Shawnee's Matt Chiusano, Lenape's Will Kelly, Rancocas Valley's Kenny Johnson, and Middle Township's Garrett Kerr.

The South team also will have Lakewood's Jarrod Davis and Anthony Walker, Trenton Catholic's Khalid Lewis-El, Point Pleasant Beach's Jarelle Reischel, Monsignor Donovan's Sean Grennan, and Christian Brothers' Matt McMullen.
