High school football games to watch
TED SILARY ON CITY LEAGUES
Haverford School at Chestnut Hill Academy
Inter-Ac League
Tomorrow, 2:30
Barring slipups in the final 2 weeks, this one will decide the title. Haverford hasn't won the Inter-Ac since 1971. Chestnut Hill's drought? Since the beginning of time.
Frankford vs. Northeast
Public AAAA semifinal
Tomorrow, 3 p.m., at South Philly
Frankford won an all-timer between these schools just 2 weeks ago, 40-34, in OT. Northeast already had clinched first place, so motivation was scant. Not anymore. Wonder if South Philly residents will turn out in force to greet Tony Danza, now teaching at Northeast for reality-show purposes?
Conwell-Egan vs. North Catholic
Catholic AAA semifinal
Tomorrow, 7 p.m., at Plymouth-Whitemarsh
These schools also played a dandy 2 weeks back. North won, 19-15, but C-E knocked hard on the goal-line door as the game wound down. Like Dougherty, North is slated to close in June. So this could be the Falcons' final CL game.
MICHAEL RADANO
ON SOUTH JERSEY
Egg Harbor Township at Hammonton
Tonight, 7 o'clock
Both are undefeated and both have state championships within their reach. But as always, the first goal is the conference title and that's on the line in this game.
St. Augustine at Holy Spirit
Tonight, 7 o'clock
The Hermits cleared a big hurdle a week ago when they beat St. Joseph. This week, they travel to Holy Spirit, as the Spartans hold the key to a Cape-Atlantic National title all to themselves.
Bishop Eustace at Camden Catholic
Tonight, 7 o'clock
Beyond division and playoff hopes, this one is personal as the schools sit less than a mile from one another. The Irish have struggled this year and what would be better than to beat the Crusaders at this late date.
JOSEPH SANTOLIQUITO ON DELAWARE COUNTY
Glen Mills at Interboro
Tonight, 7 o'clock
The winner takes the Del-Val League title. This showdown features one of the hottest teams in the area in Glen Mills, winners of four straight and five of six. Interboro is 9-0. The Bucs have clinched a spot in the PIAA District 1 Class AAA playoffs and are looking for a 12th straight league title. The Bulls have a little more to lose, like their season. A loss makes any possibility of qualifying for the District 1 Class AAAA playoffs faint at best.
