S. Jersey Girls | Absegami's Booker hits 1,000 points

Absegami's Tara Booker became the second junior of the season to reach the 1,000-career point mark. Booker achieved the feat and junior Sara Mostafa posted career highs in points (29) and rebounds (20) as Absegami rolled to a 74-55 home win over Mainland last night in a Cape-Atlantic League girls' basketball game.

Booker joined Cherokee's Laura Sweeney as the only non-seniors to accomplish the milestone this winter.

Nancy White produced 10 points as Ocean City rattled off its seventh straight win with a 54-23 triumph at Hammonton.

Jamila Garrett (10 points and 11 rebounds) and Erica Rassman (10, 10) led the way as Egg Harbor Township chalked up its 12th win - a 69-28 home triumph over Millville.

Tri-County. The backcourt tandem of Shayla Llanos and Brittany Smith each scored 26 points and combined for 17 steals as visiting Salem stunned Wildwood, 56-42, ending the Warriors' school-record 16-game unbeaten streak. Llanos also pulled down 11 rebounds for the Rams.

Gloucester checked into the postseason with a 56-32 home win against Pennsville. Sophomore guard Erin MacAdams had 19 points and 10 assists and Marci Hutchinson contributed 12 points and 10 rebounds for the 9-7 Lions.

With a 13-4 fourth-quarter run, Woodstown kept its playoff hopes alive thanks to a 34-31 win at Schalick. Anna Perrino had nine points for the Wolverines, who have won four straight and need a victory at Pitman on Friday to earn a postseason berth.

Shalisa Hill accumulated a career-high 34 points to go along with five assists, five steals, five rebounds, and three blocked shots, highlighting Penns Grove's 74-62 home win over Glassboro.

Burlington County. Gina Catanzariti dropped in 14 points and Sarah Myhre added 12 to spark Cinnaminson's 62-24 home win over Maple Shade.

Holy Cross swept the season series from Westampton Tech and remained in the Patriot Division title chase with a 52-40 home victory. Steph Deisley recorded 14 points and nine rebounds and Michelle Lubrano added 14 points for the Lancers.

Colleen Davis scored 12 points and Casey Burk and Kate Simmons combined for six assists and six steals to power Delran to a 64-36 win over visiting Burlington Township.

Palmyra snared 54 rebounds as a team during its 62-24 home rout over Medford Tech. Lailah Pratt anchored the strong inside game with 28 points and 16 rebounds for the Panthers.

Olympic. Jessica Haywood posted 16 points and 15 rebounds as Woodrow Wilson clinched a postseason berth with a 74-38 home rout against Paul VI. Deree Fooks scored 24 points and Ebony Sellers dished out seven assists for the Tigers.

Megan Skedzielewski netted 22 points, Lindsey Steele had 11 points and 10 rebounds, and Tiffany Jones contributed 12 points and eight assists as Timber Creek locked up a playoff berth with a 58-30 home win over Winslow Township.

Lenape reeled off a 19-8 fourth-quarter run to lock up a 49-40 home win against Eastern. Christina Foggie sank a game-high 22 points for the Indians.

Kate Montgomery scored 15 points as Washington Township eliminated Cherry Hill East from qualifying for the postseason with a 65-31 win on the Cougars' home court.

Lindsey Hudspeth (19 points), Victoria Sobocinski (16) and Stephanie Brown (14) each hit double figures to power Bishop Eustace to a 74-43 win at Pennsauken Tech. Michelle Nelson and LaQuoia Parks combined for 21 points and 26 rebounds for the Tornados.

Triton captured its first Patriot Division victory with a 53-52 upset at Cherry Hill West. Jenna Kosofsky knocked down 18 points and Alyce Milakovic and Anquetta Taylor added 12 and 10, respectively, for the Mustangs.

Colonial. Jenna Lindsay scored 10 of her team-high 21 points in the second half as West Deptford put the finishing touches on a 63-52 win at Woodbury. Shannon Gantt, who was recently nominated for the McDonald's All-American team, scored a game-high 33 points for Woodbury.

Behind Gabrielle Gregory's game-high 16 points, Sterling polished off a 64-35 win at Audubon. Marie Belonia and Karima Blackwell added 11 points apiece for the Silver Knights.

Amy Smith had a season-high 23 points as Paulsboro rolled to a 54-29 home win against Gateway.
