GAINESVILLE, Va. - Tiger Woods is in contention for his first victory in nearly two years after a 5-under 66 in the second round of the Quicken Loans National.

Woods birdied six of his final 13 holes. The unlikeliest was his final birdie, a 36-footer on his next-to-last hole that he celebrated with a big fist pump. Woods is tied for fifth, 3 shots behind leader Ryo Ishikawa.

TURNBERRY, Scotland - Suzanne Petterson shot a 3-under 69 in the second round of the Women's British Open to move to 7-under 137 and took a 2-stroke lead over four other golfers.

David Quinn of Links Golf Club defended his title at the Doylestown Open after shooting a 4-under 68. Rich Steinmetz of Spring Ford Country Club carded a 3-under 69 to finish second.
