The Flyers opened their rookie camp Monday in Voorhees, and center Nolan Patrick made his debut after rehabbing this summer from abdominal surgery.

Patrick, the No. 2 overall pick in the June draft, centered a line with Connor Bunnaman and Anthony Salinitri. Patrick didn't appear to show any ill effects from the injury. He will meet with the media shortly.

One of the lines had German Rubtsov centering Oskar Lindblom and Pascal Laberge; those are three players with huge upsides. Lindblom is expected to be one of the Flyers' regular left wingers this season.

The other lines: Mikhail Vorobyev centering Carsen Twarynski and Ivan Kosorenkov; Morgan Frost, a first-round pick in June, centering Isaac Ratcliffe and a rotation of Maksim Sushko, and Matthew Strome; and Mike Vecchione centering Nicolas Aube-Kubel and Radel Fazleev.

Among the rookie D-men in camp: Samuel Morin, Travis Sanheim, and Phil Myers. Robert Hagg will be part of the veterans' camp.

Rookie matchup. The Flyers and Islanders will play in a rookie game Wednesday at the sold-out Wells Fargo Center at 7 p.m.

Goalie update. Alex Lyon and Carter Hart are the goalies at rookie camp. With Anthony Stolarz injured, Lyon figures to see a bulk of the action this season with the AHL's Phantoms.

Veteran camp. Veterans will be on the ice at 9:45 a.m. Friday. They will play an exhibition game Sunday at 1 p.m. against the Islanders at Nassau Coliseum.
