Where do Flyers stack up in East?

VIDEO: At the quarter pole of a long NHL season, the Daily News' Frank Seravalli examines how the Flyers stack up with the rest of the pack in the Eastern Conference in a video chat with CineSport's Noah Coslov. Watch the video embedded at the bottom of this post.

ALL-STAR VOTES: Through the first week of All-Star voting, it's no surprise that the host Ottawa Senator fans are stuffing the online ballot box.

But the six Flyers on the ballot aren't doing so bad, either.

Ilya Bryzgalov is 6th among goaltenders with 60,595 votes. Claude Giroux (97,607 votes) is 5th among forwards, just 2 spots away from one of the top three automatic selections. Jaromir Jagr is just 2 spots behind Giroux with 91,621 votes. Chris Pronger and Kimmo Timonen are neck and neck at 10th and 11th, respectively, on defense.

The biggest individual jump came in a 24-hour span after Sidney Crosby make his 4-point season debut on Monday, when he collected a full 14,000 votes to climb from 14th to 9th among forwards.

Voting closes on Jan. 4.

MORE WINTER CLASSIC PUCK: With possibly another high school game in the works, Malvern Prep officially announced that they will take on La Salle College High School outdoors and under the lights at Citizens Bank Park on Jan. 4 at 5 p.m. Ticket prices are $10 in advance and $15 at the gate.
