Flyers Simmonds, Giroux added to Team Canada for world championships
The Flyers stars are on the roster for the tournament next month in France and Germany.
Team Canada will have a Flyers flavor when the IIHF World Championships are played next month in France and Germany.
Right winger Wayne Simmonds, who led the Flyers with 31 goals this season, and center Claude Giroux were added to the team Wednesday.
Earlier, it was announced that Flyers general manager Ron Hextall would hold that post for Team Canada and Dave Hakstol would be one of the assistant coaches. Tampa Bay's Jon Cooper will coach the team.
Hextall and Hakstol will address the media Thursday and discuss the Flyers' future.
