Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren, who has been criticized for the team's tumble, is not in danger of losing his job, according to a source close to the situation.

TAMPA - Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren, who has been criticized for the team's tumble, is not in danger of losing his job, according to a source close to the situation.

"Look at his body of work. He's done a very good job," said the source. "He's not going anywhere."

The Flyers are 13-15-1 and 11th in the Eastern Conference. They play at Tampa Bay (12-15-1) on Monday night in a battle of scuffling teams.

Timonen to be honored. Kimmo Timonen will play his 1,000 career game on Monday, and the Flyers will honor him before their March 26 home game against the New York Rangers.
