Philadelphia Flyers center Max Talbot leaves game with lower-body injury

Flyers center Max Talbot left Sunday's game against the Washington Capitals with a lower-body injury, the team announced. The Flyers did not elaborate on the injury.

The injury occurred with 1:05 remaining in the second period. Talbot lined up Capitals defenseman Mike Green for a check in the corner, but Green dodged the check. Talbot crashed into the boards and Green's skate appeared to contact Talbot's leg. (UPDATE 9:20 p.m.: According to the Inquirer's Sam Carchidi, the injury was not a cut.)

Talbot immediately rushed to the Flyers bench, but was unable to put any weight on his leg. Flyers trainers carried him through the tunnel to the Flyers locker room.

Talbot amassed 9:39 of ice time in the contest, scoring a goal in the first period on his only shot.

Talbot has appeared in all 35 games for the Flyers. He has recorded four goals and five assists.
