NHL looking into alleged Sestito hair pull
The NHL is looking into allegations that the Flyers’ Tom Sestito pulled Brandon Prust’s hair during Sunday’s loss to the Rangers, according to ESPNNewYork.com.
"That's something you don't do," Prust said, according to the report.
However, Prust seemed surprised that the league was looking into it and said he did not care whether Sestito was fined or suspended.
Sestito was involved in three fights in the game, including two with defenseman Stu Bickel. Sestito was given a game misconduct for his third fight, the limit for one player in a game. He collected 25 penalty minutes, nearly six times his actual ice time of 3:48.

- I hear a lot of bashing from ppl on this page. Funny thing is none of u would go head to head with these guys on the ice. Talk is cheap. Walk it! Since some of u claim to hate Flyers so much stop whining about them. U act like u care! lol— Flyers_70
- The league and officials seem to be paying extra attention to Rinaldo and now, Sestito. Although I don't usually criticize the officials, the officiating of the last two games has been horrendous! Don't know how Lavi keeps his cool. Bryz has to come up big tonight; no soft ones!— dogman5

- He fought Bickel, Dubinsky and Prust...not bickel twice...and not sure he won all 3, or any, but showed well. I've always liked his game, even in Adirondack where he was one of the leading scorers on the team.— philly thug

Hard to argue the league is against the Flyers when the Flyers have drawn something like 30 more minor penalties against the opposition than ANY other team in the NHL. That is a HUGE discrepancy of calls in our favor.
Lastly, if the NHL has it out for the Flyers, why did they severely weaken the division-rival Devils by punishing them for the Kovalchuk contract with a 3mil fine, loss of a 1st and 3rd round pick, and forced the Devils to take on a much bigger cap hit to sign him? And yet, the league did nothing to the Flyers for the Pronger and Richards contracts. Yes, the league is trying to destroy this team. Come on man, keep it real. - Comment removed.
- sorry cjh - I don't like NY either but they are likely to win championships before Phila in all 4 sports; other cities at least in 1... all 4 Phila franchises unlikely to win anything with their current ongoing issues -- for Eagles this coach and qb are hopeless; Phils g.m. is most overrated g.m. in sports (anyone else with a $170 mil. budget could do a half-competent job --he is clueless) and they are now contractually stymied from getting a legit cleanup hitter for next 5 yrs; and Flyers with $51 mil. commitment are further than ever to ever solving their goaltender woes...ironically best chance may be Sixers as their g.m. Rod Thorn at lest seems to have a clue and if they somehow can land a legit star (as Thorn knows he has to) in next few yrs, the field is open.. and I agree with schnitzelboy Flyers don;t even scare anyone anymore - would prefer a team to at least do some physical damage if they're gonna get embarassed anyway— warbiscuit

- You might want to do a little research on Rinaldo, he is a fighter and has "Heart", Sestito also has heart and can throw the hands just like Simmonds. - Sestito fought Bickel once. Third 'fight' was with Brandon Dubinsky, who pulled a 'what did I just start?' and just held once he realized he was in a tussle with Sestito. Rangers were gunnin' for Sestito in retaliation for his pre-season hit on Ranger farmhand Andre Deveaux.— ricknettles
- embarassing time to be Phila fan -Flyers can't win on the scoreboard with their jokers in goal and can't beat anyone up and still get all the penalites and suspensions...meanwhile Phila will continue to be loser-city until Eagles get a qb and a coach, Sixers get a legit star scorer, and Phils get a g.m. who has a clue and after they are free of a $125 mil. contract and can rebuild and get a cleanup hitter -- until then watch cities like NY, Bos, Chic, LA, Det, etc get the championships— warbiscuit
- What championships will Det, LA, and Chicago get? I know the Bulls won't win the NBA title, LA won't win anything unless you're counting on MLS and Detroit won't win anything in the next 5-10 years at least. By the way besides the lucky fluke the Giants just went through, NY won't win anything any time soon. Yanks are more overrated than the Phils, Knicks are a mess, and the Rangers will get booted in the 1st or 2nd round...happens every year in the NHL — cjh136
