More Flyers at practice

It was reported this morning that Danny Briere will miss a week to ten days of the season due to his wrist injury.

Slowly, the Flyers' roster is growing as they prepare to get ready for the shortened NHL season.

There were 11 players--six more than usual--at the team's informal practice in Voorhees Tuesday.

The newcomers: Claude Giroux, Ilya Bryzgalov, Michael Leighton, Scott Hartnell, Braydon Coburn and Matt Read.

They joined the regular Lockout Gang: Kimmo Timonen, Jody Shelley, Andrej Meszaros and Andreas Lilja.

We will see if Bryz is in mid-season quote form when practice ends at around 11 a.m.

The 48-game season is expected to start Jan. 19; the schedule hasn't been released yet.
