Pat Maroon's agonizing wait in finally over.
The Flyers have sent Maroon, the player who was dismissed from the Phantoms over 3 weeks ago, to the Anaheim Ducks in a 4-player trade, the Daily News has learned.
Maroon and David Laliberte were sent to Anaheim for former Flyer Danny Syvret and 22-year-old winger Rob Bordson.
Syvret, 25, is the only one amongst the group who has seen considerable NHL action. Syvret has played 6 games for the Ducks this season, including one against the Flyers. He skated in 21 games for the Flyers last season and scored the team's only goal at the Winter Classic at Fenway Park.
"We're comfortable with Danny," general manager Paul Holmgren said. "We know him. He brings depth to our organization. He has a good relationship with [Phantoms coach] John Paddock. He'll help our power play down there. And then obviously if we have injuries, he's a guy that can come up and help."
