Carter, Gagne out for Game 5
Both Jeff Carter and Simon Gagne sustained injuries in the Flyers' 4-1 win over New Jersey in Game 4.
UPDATE: Jeff Carter and Simon Gagne will both miss Game 5 tomorrow night against the Devils, the Flyers said.
In a statement, general manager Paul Holmgren said, "Jeff Carter and Simon Gagne suffered injuries to their right foot in Tuesday night's game. Neither will be available to play Thursday, and both players are listed as day-to-day."

Heading over to the Flyers' media availability today at the Skate Zone in Voorhees, here is what we know:
-The Flyers are one win from the second round, with Game 5 in New Jersey looming.
-They may have to do it without Simon Gagne and Jeff Carter.
Both Gagne and Carter blocked shots in last night's Game 4 win at the Wachovia Center that could prove to be costly.
Gagne has a fractured toe, though that has not yet been confirmed by Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren. Holmgren called it a "lower body injury."
Depending on the severity of the fracture, the location and the impact on his skating, Gagne could still play tomorrow night. Hockey players have routinely played with fractured toes in the playoffs thanks to cortisone shots.
Gagne will be day-to-day and probably a game-time decision for tomorrow night.
The real injury to watch today, in my opinion, is Jeff Carter's.
Carter said he took Chris Pronger's slap shot off his shin, which bounced behind Marty Brodeur for the Flyers' fourth goal. Carter was severely limping as he left the Wachovia Center last night.
Unlike Gagne – who left the game after the second period – Carter remained on the bench after his injury. He skated an abbreviated 33 second shift after his goal with 9:28 left in the third.
But finishing a game with an injury is nothing new for Carter. It doesn't mean he is not hurt.
If you remember, when Carter fractured the navicular bone in his left foot on March 21 against Atlanta – which required him to miss about 18 days and to have a screw surgically inserted in his foot – Carter sustained the injury in the first period and still finished the game.
He was in a walking boot the next day and a cast two days later.
As reported in today's Daily News, multiple team sources said the injuries to Carter and Gagne "don't look good."
