Gagne playing in Game 3 for Flyers West

Flyers West just added another former player from the Orange and Black.

The surging Los Angeles Kings announced that left winger Simon Gagne will play in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals on Monday night against visiting New Jersey.

The Kings lead the series, two games to none.

Gagne, 32, the Flyers' No. 1 pick in the 1998 draft, will come off the injured list and play in his first game since Dec. 26. He has been sidelined with a concussion.

In 16 career playoff games against New Jersey - all with the Flyers - Gagne has three goals and three assists. He will replace Brad Richardson in Monday's lineup.

Gagne was injured in his third game playing for new coach Darryl Sutter. He had seven goals and 17 points in 34 games this season _ and did not score a goal in the last 17 games he played.

By playing in one Finals game, Gagne will get his name engraved on the Cup if the Kings win it.

It couldn't happen to a classier guy.
