Former Flyers could enter Hall

Former Flyers Eric Lindros and Jeremy Roenick could be elected to hockey's Hall of Fame on Tuesday.

To me, both are borderline Hall of Famers, and I can see arguments as to why both should not be elected.

But I will not be able to understand if former Flyers coach Fred "The Fog" Shero doesn't go into the Hall.

Shero led the Flyers to Stanley Cups in 1974 and 1975 - and also guided the New York Rangers to the Finals in 1979.

Leading the Flyers to the 1974 Cup was monumental. The Flyers became the first expansion team to win the title - and they did it in just their seventh year of existence.

Think about that.

By comparison, the Los Angeles Kings also joined the league in 1967-68 - and they won their first Cup THIS YEAR.

The fact that Shero isn't already in the Hall is a travesty. Here's hoping it's corrected on Tuesday.

Here's hoping The Fog is lifted.
