Flyers make pair of trades

The Flyers acquired defenseman Tim Ramholt from the Calgary Flames for left wing Kyle Greentree, and traded defenseman Janne Niskala to Tampa Bay for a sixth-round draft pick in 2009.

Ramholt had four goals and 24 points in 77 games for the Quad City Flames of the American Hockey League last season. He was scoreless in one game for Calgary.

Greentree had 24 goals and 48 points in 72 games for the Flyers' American Hockey League affiliate, the Philadelphia Phantoms. He was scoreless in two regular season games with the Flyers.

Niskala spent less than a week as a member of the Flyers. He had been acquired from the Nashville Predators last week.
